SEDF:
Small: fixed capital investments > 100,000 Tk (1,750 USD) and < 100 m
Tk (USD 1.75 million)
Medium: fixed capital investments 100 to 300 million Tk (USD 1.75 million - 5.25 million)
SEDF Target: Tk 10-300 million (USD 175,000 - 5.25 million) in fixed capital investments.

Small Enterprise has less than 50 employees and / or less than 15 mTk in Fixed Capital Investment
Medium Enterprise has 51-99 employees and / or Fixed Capital
Investments between 1.5 and 100 m Taka

Small Scale Industries (Act 1951): Industrial undertaking in which the investments in fixed assets in plants and machinery (excluding lands and building) does not exceed Rs 10 millions (233,000 USD).

The limit is enhanced to Rs 50 million (1.2 million USD) for certain sectors
(hosiery, hand tools, drugs and pharmaceuticals, stationery items, sport goods). Tiny industries: investments less than Rs 2.5 million (58,000 USD)
SBI: Small = units with turnover up to Rs 50 million (1.2 million USD)
Medium= units with turnover more than Rs 50 million (1.2 million USD) and less than Rs 250 million (5.8 million USD)
ICICI: SMEs = units with net worth up to Rs 250 million (5.8 million USD)
