Smoking affects health of both smoking person and people around him. Every day, in Viet Nam, there are 100 people die for smoking tobacco and every year, about 40000 people die because of diseases related to tobacco. In addition, smoke is easy to spread in the air, therefore not only smoking people but also people around them are affected. That means, when a person smokes, he is harming both himself and many people, especially children. These people are called “passive smoking” people. Smoking causes damage to the internal body, causing alterations to the quality of internal organs. Smoking is particularly damaging to the heart and lungs. Smoking can lead to a number of lung diseases or disorders including COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder), lung cancer, Emphysema, and shortness of breath.
Smoking is also one of the main reasons causing enviromental pollution in offices, schools, public places,… for discharged into the atmosphere thousands of toxic chemicals.C igarette filters and packs after using generates a large volume of junk. Each year, about 4500 billions cigarette filters are discharged into the enviroment. Not only being dirty garbage, cigarette butts are also harmful to aquatic organisms if they’re left on the beach, river and lake because cigarette butts can take up to 12 months to break down in fresh
