Jewish:
Kosher lamb, Beef and Chicken which is all killed in a specific way and prepared in a certain way.
Meat isn’t eaten with dairy.
Fish (fins, scales and backbones.
No blood spots in the eggs.
Muslims:
Halal meat, fish and shellfish is all killed and prepared in a certain way.
They don’t eat anything which includes rennet (in dairy products).
They don’t eat pork.
Hindus:
Normally there all vegetarians.
Don’t eat meat as of beef.
They don’t eat anything which includes rennet (dairy products.)
Sikhs:
Sometimes eat pork.
Don’t eat beef.
Some might eat chicken, eggs, cheese, fish and fish shells.
Vegetarians:
Don’t eat meat or fish.
Rastafarians:
Don’t eat shellfish.
Some might eat lamb, beef and chicken.
Vegans:
They do not eat meat that comes from an animal (meat, fish, milk, cheese, eggs.)
Pescatarian:
Will not eat meat.
Will eat fish.
At my work place we make sure that children always have a piece of fruit for snack and in their lunch box or if there having school lunch there is always vegetables that the children eat. Children need to eat healthy else they can get health problems in years to come, such as diabetes and obesity. Obesity is going up and up in our country as the children aren’t getting enough exercise and are not eating the right foods there meant to be eating. Such as fast foods, pack prepared foods, sweets, chocolate, biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks, fatty oily foods etc. children need to cut down on all those unhealthy foods. Not saying they can’t have them but parent should let them have them as a treat.
Type one diabetes:
Your body cannot make insulin. This type usually affects children and young adults.
Type two diabetes:
Your body can’t produce enough insulin or it doesn’t work properly. Type two diabetes is more common and tends to develop gradually as people get older usually after the age of 40. being overweight. lazy. About two million adults have been diagnosed with diabetes in the UK, and this number is rising all the time. Type two diabetes is now affecting young children as well.
