In basketball there is two hoops and in soccer there is two goals. Basketball you play inside and in soccer you can play outside or inside. In soccer you can pass the ball to a teammate the same way you can pass the ball to your teammate in basketball. In soccer you can also shoot or kick a goal in basketball you can shoot a goal.

But it turns out that it was invented by China (although England still claims to have invented it). The name they called it was Tsu’Chu or kicking the ball. Records have the game beginning during the time of the Han Dynasty. Historians say that it could have been a training regimen for soldiers.
Some differences between soccer and basketball are the amount of points per goal or basket. In soccer if you score each goal is worth one point. In basketball if you make a basket anywhere behind the arc it is 3 points. But if you score anywhere inside the arc you get 2 points. In soccer you are prohibited the use of your hinds unless you are the goalie, or you are about to throw the ball in to play.
In basketball you must use your hands to dribble, to pass, to shot, to rebound, and to play defense. In soccer you can have up to 11 players on the field and as little as 7. In basketball you must have 5 players on the court always. Basketball can be a one-man sport with one guy leading the team in everything like rebound, points, assist and so-on. In soccer it must be a team sport you can’t have your goalie get the ball and run it up field and try to score. He must pass the ball to his teammates to score a

Basketball was invented in December 1891 by the Canadian clergyman, educator, and physician James Naismith. Naismith introduced the game when we were an instructor at the Young Men's Christian Association Training School (now Springfield College) in Springfield, Massachusetts. At the request of his superior, Dr. Luther H. Gulick, he organized a vigorous recreation suitable for indoor winter play. The game involved elements of American football, soccer, and hockey, and the first ball used was a soccer ball. Teams had nine players, and the goals were wooden peach baskets affixed to the walls. By 1897-1898, teams of five became standard. The game rapidly spread nationwide and to Canada and other parts of the world, played by both women and men; it also became a popular informal outdoor game. U.S. servicemen in World War II (1939-1945) popularized the sport in many other countries.…

Humor has been used for many generations with an unclear origin. Over time as society progresses, the kind of humor produced adjusts to what fits the culture. One thing doesn’t change however, and that is the purpose of humor which is to provide laughter and amusement for whoever is aware of the topic. In this day and age, we live in a time of humor that is much different than the humor that took place a hundred, or even fifty years ago. Back in 2004, Alain de Botton argued in his nonfiction book Status Anxiety, how humor can be used to not only entertain but it also allows messages regarding society to be safely expressed without the danger that could occur if stated directly. For this reason, Botton believes they play a key role in society.…

First off, American football is played with an elliptical shaped ball while a soccer ball is played with a sphere shaped ball. Football players are usually large and strong because of the contact of the sport which requires them padding to protect themselves, including shoulder pads, helmets, and padded pants. Soccer players are usually quite a bit smaller and have to be very well conditioned. They only have shin guards to protect their legs. Both games are played with 11 players on each team. The general idea in each sport like most sports is to score more points than the other team.…

Another reason to play soccer over other sports is because there are new skills to learn. There are more skills to be mastered in soccer than other sports. The basic skills one will need to master are dribbling, passing, heading, chesting, and trapping. When dribbling keep the ball close to one?s feet, tapping the ball every step; as a result, one should stay in control using both feet. When heading the ball hit the ball just above one?s forehead, either to another player or to one?s feet. When trying to chest the ball, let the ball bounce off one?s chest to their feet. The last skill is trapping. Trapping is stopping the ball when it is kicked with one?s feet, giving in as the…

While there are many similarities between old school and new school basketball, there are also many differences between them. But, before we get into that you should know what old school basketball actually really is. “Old school” basketball was a game created by James Naismith in 1891 that originally set out to have 13 rules. It was a game where usually back then there were 9 players on each team competing, players weren’t allowed to get back in the game once out, and players originally would shoot a soccer ball into a square box of 18 inches or a peach basket. All of those things and many more have changed over the course of time. But, there are still some things in “old school” basketball that actually still do exist or apply in what is now called “new school” basketball. Things like how you can’t run with the ball in your hands, which is called traveling, how you can throw the basketball in any direction you want with one or both hands, and how…

In deciding if a criminal is guilty or innocent, they are always guilty until there is evidence to prove their innocence. In order to be deemed innocent, the accused has to be able to prove they are innocent with evidence, and without evidence, they are presumed guilty. “The accused sat in the courtroom and was already deemed guilty. Thus would continue many long months of accusations, stress and proving their innocence.” (Press Sheboygan, Mis-Vat ). In most cases, someone accused of a crime has to prove their innocence unless there is evidence to prove they are indeed guilty of the crime. If there is no evidence, the accused has to work hard for months or even years to prove their innocence, even if they never committed the crime. Furthermore,…

Borbo states that even though both the males and the females are technically the same, there is still something very, very different. Borbo says “The men’s genitals in the Jockey ad are much more visible than the women’s. Actually, the women, by contemporary standards, are hardly undressed at all.” (Borbo, 110). Over the years seeing more of the women’s body became acceptable, so the ad views the men, who are also technically showing the same amount of skin, as being more nude than the women. But at the same time, it is the pants around the ankles that make both the men and the women seem bare. We see these bodies as to what we are used to seeing and there is a big difference between the two.…
