I do not believe that it’s impossible, per say, for a lower-class to move into the upper-class but it is not easy. You would need to have a very special skill or get it in with the right upper-class people in order to ride their coat tails to the top. On the other hand, for an upper-class to move into a working or lower-class status would be excruciating as they’re not at all used to the amount of work that the lower-class would have to endure nor not having the amenities that they are provided from being upper-class. Not to mention they would lose their prestigious titles and power which would really hurt their pride. I myself have come from a middle-class family and so far I have stayed in the middle-class rung. One day, I do hope to break out into the upper-class and gain a powerful title to my name, but for now I am only middle-class.
