Food and water will be much more expensive then it has ever been before, and many people won’t be able to afford it. Society will be forced to live a lifestyle of discomfort because they will be forced to move from the danger that may strain their health. This is where poverty comes in as a vast social issue seen in many countries. Even pope Francis agrees that the poor will be the most affected by climate change. Consequently the extreme temperature changes caused by climate change will have no mercy on disadvantaged groups living on the streets with no resources for protection. Unfortunately, developing countries have placed economic activity before environmental issues. They have reduced manufacturing costs by utilizing inefficient, low technology methods. This puts countries at a disadvantage because they are more likely to be exposed to extreme weather and they have fewer resources to adapt to this than developed countries do. Living in a modern developed country we should improve the lives of the less fortunate by providing them with resources to help prevent their homes from being damaged and also information on how to be more eco-friendly. With the problem of people on the streets, there should be homes where people could have access to and better their lives and become independent.
