“Five clues that you are addicted to Facebook” is an article by Elizabeth Cohen. We first hear about the Facebook addicted Cynthia Newton, who is an single parent who spends about 20 hours a week on the social networking site –half time she use it for work, but the other time is just fun, she says. Newton gets so engulfed by it, that she totally forgets her 12-year-old daughter sometimes.
The two therapists Paula Pile and Joanna Lipari are seeing more and more people that have developed a Facebook addiction -although it’s actually not a medical diagnosis. People get so engrossed by this online world, where everything is beautiful and happy, and away from their daily cares and problems.

A2. An outline of the positive and negative sides of, social networking.
There are many negative sides of social networking. A major danger with social networking are the “predators” out in the cyberspace, they pretends to be someone other than they really are, and it can be especially dangerous for inexperienced youngsters, but also a risk of identity-theft or that someone stealing personal data and misuse it. Another negative thing that is comment in the texts is that married people or people in a relationship is playing or flirting around in connecting with old flames.
But not to forget the main issue in one of the articles: Addiction and to be engulfed by the online world, and get away from the real world.
Some of the positive sides of social networking that are mentioned in the tree texts are the development of technical skills among young people, that’s make the youngsters more self-directed and more independent, but also the social skills is a great thing about social networking.
