1. Social networking has had a major influence on society in the 21st century, enabling citizens to engage with each other in radically new and different way. Although people have been using the social networking to connect with others since early 1980. It is only in the last decade that social networking has proliferated and it because widespread practice – particularly among young people, it has been noted that the older generations are now catching up with the strongest recent growth in usage among the 55 and 65 age group..
2. Social networking is changing the way people relate to each other, and we can say that it has led to improvement in relationships. Social networking has strongly positive effect on society, however there is cause for some concern also.

3. To analyze effects of social networking on our society and offer recommendations.

b. Social Networking a Blessing.
c. Social networking a curse.

5. Overview. Social networking has significantly transformed communication practices, opening new spaces and processes of socialization and impacting upon traditional social structures. This new environment poses certain challenges and has some inherent risks, especially for the most frequent users of social networking- young people. If used responsibly, social networking sites do not pose a danger or threat to anyone. Facebook have numerous benefits for their use in term of interacting and talking with other people, but also provide comprehensive privacy and safety features. For example Facebook does not allow people to view others profiles unless they are friends, which require both people to confirm their relationship. It is even possible to limit the parts of a personal profile which one visible, which it is visible to, or make the profile completely invisible to everyone.
