The economy is an important factor of a government. Since the U.S has a government, like Abe Lincoln said, “...of the people, by the people, for the people...”having an economy that all are happy and supportive of makes it easier for a government to do what it was put into place to do and stay in power over the issues that everyday citizens should not have to deal with.
The U.S. has a free enterprise meaning that the people have control over economic decisions and in turn making it possible to to make independent political decisions. When people do not have control over their economic lives they tend to become disgruntled and unhappy and this is when a democracy tends to fail. Growing stable economies are where a democracy is more likely to succeed.
Widespread education is another important factor in that the people need to be educated to understand its government so they won’t feel like they are being taken advantage of. When people know about their government it gives them a sense of closer. It is the governments job to make sure that all the information that the citizens need to know is distributed among every person. When people go to vote it is important that they know exactly who and what they are voting for. When the public is educated they can make educated decisions creating a base for success for the government.
