I decided to choose this topic because I was thrilled the first time I heard stories about them and since then I been wanting to know more about it effects on mankind, earth and what caused it to happen. I didn’t do any research on it before choosing it however I wanted to know if it has any effect at all and what causes solar eclipse in the first place. I guess I can say my curiosity led me to this sentence.
I do not have any stand in this thesis as of right now however I am sure by the time I am done with my research I would have a stand in the thesis. Initially I started doing research on what causes eclipse and then it led me to other thesis which I am yet to do a full research on it. My goal of doing this research is to better understand it, find out the causes of it, and it effects on humans and the earth. Hopefully by the time I am done with it I know a lot about it.
In my first outline I would talk about the causes of the solar eclipse and how the universe play a role in it then my second outline would cover when the real event actually occur on earth and the signs we get to predict it then my third outline would be dedicated to its effects on mankind and the earth. I chose to outline my essay this way to give the reader a flow of the essay. It would also tell the reader everything from it causes to it effects. I am using proQuest to do my research to support my ideas. Jay Pasachoff writes, “Because of their dramatic nature, bringing the darkness of twilight even at midday, total solar eclipses have been noted for thousands of years” (789).
