A mother: a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth. Since the day I was brought into this world, confused and unknowing, my mother not only kept me alive but has given me the best life that she could offer me. As a child, I only knew that she was in charge of me and loved me, but now I know that there is so much more that my mother has sacrificed. As my role model, my best friend, and inspiration my mom has proven to be the most responsible and steady person in my life. I know that there isn’t one person in this world who will impact and change my life more than my mother. My family started in a small town outside of Cincinnati called Harrison. My mother and my father
provided a great life for me and my sister, we were loved, cared for and taught how to be contributing members of society. My parents both worked and spent plenty of time with my sister and I. Unfortunately, my 8th grade year they divorced and we moved to Delphos Ohio with my mom. The divorce impacted me and my sister deeply; my mom did everything in her power to make the move as simple as possible. Although I know it was hard on my mom, she was strong and took the heat of the move for us. In the beginning, I thought that the move was the worst thing that could happen to me, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. When I was younger, my mother was 100% supportive of whatever I was interested in: Band ,soccer even crazy combinations of clothes. Having her support not only made me feel confident, but let me know that I always had someone on my side. My moms support guided me through the awkward years of my life and shaped me into who I am today. Discipline is a key element to making a child into a responsible adult. Although at the time I may have not known it, every time I was grounded, yelled at, or smacked, my mom was doing it for my own good. My mother taught me that you have to work for what you want, and that nothing will be handed to you in life. My mom ran a warm a loving home , but also made sure that my sister and I were well behaved. To this day, every time I leave the house my mom asks me to repeat three things that I need to know and they are: self control, act like you have some sense, and remember who you are” I know that I am blessed to have such a loving mom who does so much for me. My mother sacrificed plenty for me; helped me through rough times; consequently, I know I will do great things. The next step in my life is to apply what my mother has taught me to my future. Thanks to my mom's guidance, I know that I will have an exceptional future that will make my family proud.
