Me, Myself, and I
General Purpose- To Inform
Specific Purpose- To inform the audience about myself
Thesis Statement- To inform the audience about my three favorite things by explaining
how much I love Kansas, Soccer, and Animals.
I. INTRODUCTION
A. Have you ever met someone who is constantly reminiscing on his or her favorite place? Or someone who has an unbelievable passion for a sport that they play? Or someone who would unquestionably pull over to rescue a stray dog? While all of those may sound like three totally different people, they’re actually all describing whom I am and what my three favorite things are.
B. I have many reasons for what my favorite things are and why they mean so much to me. Kansas is unquestionably my favorite thing because it’s where I was born, made my childhood memories, and grew up. Soccer is in my top three favorites because of how far and hard it has pushed me throughout life. And animals are in my top three favorite because of how much I love and care for them.
II. BODY
A. Kansas
a.i. Where I was born and raised- home
a.ii. Family, friends, memories, etc. still remain there
a.ii.1.a. First friends, old house, old school
a.ii.1.b. Memories of growing up
a.iii. Still take trips back
B. Soccer
a.i. Started playing at age 3
a.ii. Not just a sport to me
a.ii.1.a. Requires focus, determination, and practice
a.ii.1.b. Teammates for life
a.iii. Met so many new people and coaches
a.iv. Traveled and acquired so many new skills
C. Animals
a.i. Always been around animals
a.i.1.a. Pictures of me as a child
a.i.1.b. Always petting them
a.ii. Always want more
a.iii. Want to be a Veterinarian
III. CONCLUSION
