Song Analysis Of The Song 'Stressed Out' By Twenty-One Pilots

In the song “Stressed out” by twenty-one pilots, The writer is trying to get a point across that growing up is hard and difficult and it was a lot easier as a kid. For example in the song he says “Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol’ days, When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out” He is talking about how in his childhood he didn't have any worries and no stress or anxiety but now when he is an adult he is saying how it is very hard and that he wishes he could “turn back time” to when he was a child and had no worries. Another piece of evidece is when he said “I was told when i get older all my fears wouyld shrink” This is showing, when people are still kids, adults tell them that everything will be be better when
you are older. To him that wasnt really true because he says he has to deal with student loans and he would take the treehouse ladder. Meaning he would much much rather be climbing a tree house ladder and having fun as a kid than being an adult. What the artist is trying to get across is that you should always cherish your childhood and use the most of it because you only get one childhood and being an adult is definitely not as good as being a kid with no stress or worries.
