Sons Of Liberty Short Story
It was late at night. The town was asleep. Except for a group of suspicious men. They were running around in the shadows. But all the sudden they stopped. They heard talking.
“How do we handle this rebellious group? What do they even call themselves?” Said a man, not apart of the suspicious group.
“I heard they call themselves the Sons of Liberty. I don’t know how, but we need to stop them. They could destroy the British colonies. They’ve already ruined our number one import when they dumped our tea in the ocean.” Replied another man.
“They are unarmed. What should we do sir.” A man inside the suspicious group asked.
“Just follow my lead.” Another man said, walking out into the open. “Are you soldiers? Its embarrassing that our land is being

They were terrorists. They put fear into the citizens that were loyal to Britain. You hear stories of groups like ISIS, catastrophes happening all over the world, stuff like 9/11. And when you hear these you’re terrified. Imagine how the people in the story felt when they were face to face with the Sons of Liberty. They must’ve been scared to death. I would have been to. The Sons of Liberty where criminals. They were smugglers, they vandalized houses, like in that story they tar’d and feather’d people, and many more. It’s crazy to think about how he have freedom in this country, but it was gained with acts of violence and acts against the laws we have …show more content…
You’re are probably thinking that I am over reacting, or that we have freedom today and we really don’t need to worry about this kind of stuff. Well they did gain our freedom for us today, but it’s really terrible what happened to gain it. They tar’d and feather’d people. That would be so painful. Imagine getting soaked in melted tar and burning your body till there is barely no skin left. And the skin you do have left you would have to peal off anyway just to get the tar off. This is happening in public to. They also stuck feathers on you. A sign of humility, embarrassment. So now not only you don’t have any skin, but you don’t have any friends either. And it’s not even likely you’ll survive. So you don’t have any skin, respect, or a life. Sounds great,

As for every story, there are two sides to this important timepiece. There are many sources of information for this subject. Many provided for me were affidavits, or accounts, of key people in the conflict. Some are more credible than others. As for the affidavit of John Parker, it seems believable. On the other hand, it lacks detail. His account is very short and simple. Not many details are present compared to others. In this legal document, he states he ordered them to disperse and to not fire upon the enemy (British Troops). According to him, the British troops approached and rushed with fury and fired without any previous provocations. In my opinion, this may seem like a good source, but when compared to others it is not the greatest.…

After officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists from a political group called the Sons of Liberty boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. The colonists believed that the Tea Act, (the act which imposed the taxes) violated their rights as citizens; hence, causing indignation throughout the city of Boston. Although protesters had successfully prevented the unloading of taxed tea in three other colonies, Boston’s obstinate Governor Thomas Hutchinson refused to allow the tea to be returned to Britain, which resulted in the already vexed colonists to commence a revolution that would bring havoc to the British government. The colonist’s rage towards the Parliament was fundamentally fired from Britain’s demand to have absolute control over the colonies, and the Tea Act proved to be the last straw. The British Parliaments strong desire for power over the colonies, resulted in their downfall as misuse of power nearly always starts a…

The Declaration of independence and the Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death speech, are both telling the people that the British is no good. In the Declaration, it says “He has refused his Assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good”, referring to the British king, which means that the king has broken the laws that were for the good of the people. This shows that the king of Britain is doing bad things. In Patrick Henrys speech, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death, Henry says “Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house?” he is asking the President when will we fight the British. The British have come and invaded us and we need to fight, is what Henry is trying to tell the people.…

The story began at the specific place of their appointed place and time. It is nearly 10 o’clock at night and really dark out there. A policeman making his rounds, rattling door knobs to make sure everything is secure on his beat. In the doorway of a hardware store that is closed, he comes across a man who has an unlit cigar in his mouth. Before the officer can begin to question him, the man assures him that he is not a burglar that he is merely waiting for a friend. He goes on to light his cigar and tell the officer why he and his friend are meeting at such a dark and desolate place. The man, who is Bob, told him that he was waiting for a friend he has not seen for twenty years. Years before he and his friend had agreed to meet at the very spot to discuss how their life had turned out. The man keeps on telling to the policeman how his life turned out good that he actually became rich and successful. Talking about his best friend, he told the policeman that Jimmy will never fail to appear in their agreement for he has been a constant good companion. After saying all these to the policeman, the latter dismisses himself.…
