Perhaps, the strongest argument in favour of space travel is the overflow of population. The number of people is increasing, habitable land is decreasing, planet's resources and fossil fuels are running out. As of today's date, the world population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 7.108 billion. Therefore some analysts predict that in the coming time there will be a global crisis due to shortage of key resources. So, finding suitable planet for living can is good appropriate solution to this problem (until another planet can accommodate humanity).
It is also argued that some of quite important experiments and research projects, which scientists can't perform on the planet can be freely be done so in space. For example, some interesting facts were discovered in space due to the weightlessness experienced there by life forms: plasma has a crystalline form and it is very similar to the galaxy and if it cools, its structure becomes similar to that of DNA.
However, I am of the opinion that before investigating space, we should pay due attention problems of humanity and planet. Some of them: global warming, pollution of heavy industry, that give off harmful smog, oil drops, the treat of nuclear warfare, ozone depletion, cutting down trees, endangered species. Every minute a huge number of people die die because of illness, wars in Middle East, hunger and thirst in developing world. Furthermore, some of people are not interested in how to solve these problems, but they use them manipulate by people. How can we go into space, if someone close to us is suffering from a deficit of food? / Furthermore there are huge political
