speech about dream
Today is the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech. He was a man of courage and conviction. He was a revolutionary and a peace-maker. Most of us wouldn’t think we were capable of dreaming these BIG DREAMS – a grand vision for ourselves and for the world we live in. But I challenge each of us to do just that today, in memory of a great man.

Each of us carries a dream within us. Our job is to give it voice. Let’s have the courage and audacity to dream and claim our own BIG DREAM. Better yet, write it down (comment below). Share it with others. There is magic in that. Listen deeply to their dreams. We often find our leadership purpose in our dreams of a better world. Often we find ourselves in our dreams of a better world. Indeed it may be the only place to find ourselves. I will start. Here is my dream.

I have a Dream That:

We each find the work that makes us come alive Our workplaces can help each of us express our greatest talents and contributions We can each be more mindful and conscious leaders We can find ways to discover what is common among us and appreciate what is different We can find ways to use our words rather than our weapons to make peace Each of us make the impact we’re inspired to make in our world

I invite you to share your Dream by commenting below. After all, our reality starts as a seed in our dreams. Three years ago I had a dream to start a company that helped me pursue the dreams above. Today that company is a reality. Join me. Declare your dream, and then dare it.
