Kings phrase “I refuse” gives his speech a big impact because it’s letting the people know that he’s not going to give up easily. Also, it’s letting us know that he is determined to get what he wants which is to get equal rights and freedom. Another reason why I think he keeps on saying that is because it just gives his speech a more powerful tone.
The speech does achieve its purpose because it gives
a lot of detail about the holocaust. Its trying to explain to us that the holocaust is a piece of history that is never going to be forgotten and it hasn’t. Another thing is that the holocaust was so bad that is going to forever be tought to the kids.
Elie Wiesel used pathos in her speech to appeal to the people’s emotions. Which she did. She also used ethos because she wanted to appeal to the people’s credibility.
