Martin Luther King Jr Speeches

Every time you go through school you have new teachers. They all have different ways of trying to get to know you. But one thing they all have in common, they start by calling roll and sometimes saying someone’s name wrong. Then after that they ask you a ton of question, like who is your favorite person. I said “Martin luther king jr.” because without him the world would have never changed.
This brings me back to my third grade class. Where I really started learning history and seeing how important it is. I really focused on rasicm and slavery and things like that. I remember classmates asking me why I care so much on the subject. But I learned a lot through the year.
Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. lead the modern American Civil Rights Movement. He achieved so much for African Americans. “Dr. King is widely regarded as America’s preeminent advocate of nonviolence and one of the greatest noviolence leaders in world history.”
This speech mainly stated that he wanted everyone to be equal and get along. “Have a dreamt hat my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
Do to the braver of Martin Luther King Jr. saying his speech the Civil Right ACT of 1964 enforce desegregation of public accommodations. This also led to him receiving the Nobel Peace prize of 1964. Martin luther King jr. was shot while standing outside of a motel. Where he had went to support a sanitation workers strike. We now have a federal holiday in the honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero, if it wasn’t for him it would probably still be segregation laws. I know that I can go make friends with anyone I want to. He has made me fearless and brave. I want to brilliant and heroic like Dr. Martin Luther King
