The movie, Ignacio de Loyola, engaged us with the story of St. Ignatius’ journey of becoming a soldier of God and facing challenges along the way.
St. Ignatius developed a new method called Spiritual Exercises that helped people deepened their relationship with God which was unconventional compared to the Church’s traditional ways. Even if Ignacio has a different method, he was not against nor rebellious towards the Church; instead, his feelings were just indifferent because it was more concentrated on spreading the word of God. In addition, he saw himself and the Church as “Church of both opposites”,not enemies but a balance that glorifies God.
