We look for a parking space, but we could not find a parking space. The parking at the stadium was $60 dollars for one car and we had two cars so we would have to pay $120 for both of the cars, but we found a spot at a house and we had to pay $20 for both cars. When we got into the stadium but the gates where the people worked were not still open so we had to wait for the gates to open. We were still waiting for the gates to open but the people what were also waiting were staring to get anger. My dad put me on his shoulders, I looked at the people ahead of us. We were still waiting for the people to open the gates after a few minutes a helicopter came told the people opened the gates and all of the people rush through the gates and we inside the stadium. …show more content…

When you hear the words "Red Carpet Bowl" you immediately think of the annual football bowl games that they sponsor in the month of August to kick off the football season with a preseason celebration. I have been a spectator at these annual bowl games for over ten years. Once I entered high school I participated in the bowl games as a cheerleader, dancer, and band member.…

When asked to name a favorite place, some people’s brains may be flooded with memories of different spaces and experiences they have had. But for me, it is easy. Only one place comes to mind—the Joe Louis Arena. The home of the Detroit Red Wings is a dome rich in history and uniquely located in an American city that sits uncharacteristically north of Canada. Built in 1979, The Joe has a personality all of its own. The Joe Louis Arena is my favorite place because of the pre-game experience in the city, the historical vibe of the arena, and, of course, the excitement of the greatest game in sports.…

After we warmed up it was time to play the final game. We were the home team so we were in the field first. I was playing center field and it was so hot outside that I felt like I was going to melt. When the umpire yelled, ”Play Ball!” I jumped up on my feet and was ready for the first pitch. On the very first pitch the batter hit the ball straight to me. I watched the ball go up in the air and I was putting my glove up in the air ready to catch the ball but then I lost track of it. My sunglasses did not help me with the sun. I was trying to find the ball, but then SMACK! The ball hit me straight in the mouth and I fell to the ground like a sack of…

The following morning, I skip bike practice again, but Doris goes anyway. At the office, Megan caters to me. On her way in, she stopped at Trader Joe’s to buy me a protein drink with antioxidants from Trader Joe’s, a bottle of chewable Vitamin C and a whole grain carrot muffin. I drink half the bottle and listen as she tells me, “Thom cancelled the development meeting, since he met with you the other day.”…

As I was in the truck with three other of my teammates, I was terrified and nervous. I had butterflies in my stomach. I was overwhelmed. When I heard that we only had eight players exactly, my heart dropped. This is because the exact amount of players that could be on the field is eight I was also sweating. I literally felt like giving up and not even play. My brother, Alvaro, and Gilberto were in the truck as well. They were all nervous as well, but they didn't give up. As I gazed out the window, I saw the sign "Fitzgerald Fields."…

My dad has been a baseball fan for as long as I can remember. When 1:20 rolls around on Sunday afternoons, the television is declared my dad's for the mandatory Cubs game. Granted we weren’t obligated to watch the game, however, my older brother and I occasionally stuck around to watch. Overtime, this television snatching turned into an annoyance, most games are over three hours long, which greatly cut into my precious TV time on the weekends. I grew to hate the game because I found it long, boring, and filled with little action. Also, the only games my family watched were Cubs games and the Cubs have sucked since 1908. But like every good relationship it takes time for a bond to…

“LET’S GO BOYS!!!! LET’S WIN THIS!!! BEAT THESE RAVENS!!!!!!” The crowd was screaming and chanting wildly as we began to run out of the locker rooms and onto the large football field. I lead them, raising my arms up and down to signal the crowd to get louder with their cheers. As I did this, I was also sprinting to the middle of the field through the large slit that was cut for my eyes. I turned back to the crowd in the stands, and the players ran around me, with smiles of their faces, to get to their positions and the bench. I started to jump and raise my arms, “ FROGGY!!! FROGGY!!! FROGGY!!!” They all chanted my name in union, some of them even had signs and horns! A large smile crept onto my face behind my large mascot mask, and I couldn’t…
