Stanford Prison Study The Stanford Prison Study I believe was a very interesting experiment, but at the same time was very cruel and harmful to the students that participated in the experiment. I thought that it was very interesting on how they messed with the prisoners heads by shaving their heads, putting the chain around their feet, and giving them numbers to respond to. Even though it was kind cruel it was kind of cool to see all of the different mind games that came from putting the prisoners through this kind of experiment. The guards did several different procedures in order to make the prisoners feel scared or to fear the guards. Like I have already said they gave the prisoners numbers and referred to them as that number the whole time during the experiment. Another tactic they would use to scare the prisoners is they would put chains around their ankles. This would try to symbolize that the prisoners could never escape from being locked up, even when they were sleeping. I think it is kind of hard to telling what kind of guard you would be without being put into that situation. I feel like most of everyone is going to tell themselves that yeah im going to be a good guard, but when everyone is practicing like the Nazi camps were doing what do you really think that you are going to do. Its human nature to go with the flow, very few people have the skill to stand up against a group of people and start doing their own thing. I like to tell myself that I am a pretty strong individual and would be able to undergo something like this. I know it would be very hard but I believe if you stay strong in your mind then you will be able to overcome a lot of the things that they would be putting you through. I think that our generations of kids are a lot weaker then kids during the early 60’s. They kids have gone through a lot as a generation, and I believe that they will stick through things a lot longer. I
