Star Trek: Generations directed by David Carson wasn't appealing to viewers because it lacked good graphics and had many plot holes. Although Carson used two very significant characters, Captain Kirk and Captain Picard, the storyline he created was dissatisfying to many due to the film feeling more like an episode from the series Star Trek: New Generations. Other Star Trek movies have produced double the profit that Star Trek: Generations made because of better funding on graphics and a well-written enriching story line.
