“Stella Dallas” is a movie three act structure movies from 1937. The main character Stella Dallas got a baby, Laurel, with her newly married husband Stephen Dallas. Because of her uneducated lifestyle and stubborn personality, her marriage with Stephen was getting broken. Her daughter Laurel became all of her life. Stella tried to give her everything. I have never watched anything from 1930s but I really like this one. Three act structure made this movie moves fast. The time line was clear, and the story line wasn't too complicated. The audience can definitely feel the change of Stella. But nobody knows what is going to happen in her life next. It really catch people’s attention. Also besides Stella Dallas, other characters in the movie played really well too. Stephen talked really gently I the movie and Helen was treating Laurel really well. And Laurel in this movie also showed strong love to her mom. Everybody was play well. In the year of 1937, United States of America just had the Great Depression and people seek love and even a better life. The movie Stella Dallas shows how different people react to different lifestyle. And it also shows how a single mom at that time do the best to create a better life for her daughter. I like this movie. And I will go check other movies from 1930s
