The field of Stem prepares and provides many job opportunities for your future. One of the many jobs that stem prepares you for is to be a Dietitian or Nutritionist. Dietitians and Nutritionists are experts in food and nutrition. They promote health and manage many food related diseases such as diabetes. They advise people on what to eat in order to live a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health/food goal. They might also go around to schools or businesses and speak to people about healthy food choices and a healthier lifestyle. They are required to take many science classes such as biology, biochemistry, food chemistry and anatomy. You also have to take math classes such as statistics. You might also have to take courses such as sociology and psychology. Dietitians and Nutritionists also use technology in their job. A Dietitians or Nutritionists might use different kinds of technology to provide help to their clients. Computers, interactive models and online plans might be used by Dietitians and Nutritionists. Veterinarians take care of sick animals and also monitor their health. They work with many types of animals from dogs to snakes to horses. The can diagnose and treat any type of animal they are trained for. They can work in a clinic, on a farm, or any other type of place where animals can be found. To become a veterinarian you first you have to complete your undergraduate degree. Then, you must earn your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary college. After that, you must earn a license by passing the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam and gain experience by interning with an experienced veterinarian. After this point, you can either choose to continue being a veterinarian or acquire a specialty. You have many options if you choose a specialty. As of 2015, the median salary of a veterinarian was $88,490. Veterinarians can get paid up to $166,970 and a minimum of $53,210.
