learner. This made me realize we learn more from our own experiences than any class could ever teach.
In Sherman Alexie’s narrative, Superman and Me Alexie states “ I read anything that had words and paragraphs... I loved those books...I was trying to save my life” (Alexie, 1). Sometimes learning is the only way to get a head, or to even save yourself. Everything you do you have to learn by yourself. Another annotation from Alexie's narrative is that you are able to learn from just about anything. Alexie explains to his reader that he “was seeing the world in paragraph’s” (1). This shows us how we learn in many ways not through only classes, or textbooks. It is not linear. Lastly my final annotation is from king’s narrative is how Everything around us is a lesson to be learned; you must educate yourself. This is shown in King’s narrative when Gould says to him that “‘When you write a story, you’re telling yourself the story’” (445). This demonstrates to the reader that stories are often times memories of experiences that one has taken in life.
