Sales tracking is not only important for the sales team but for the entire company. With sales tracking there is the possibility to establish sales patterns, for example that more cold sauces and dressings are sold in June than in February. This way the sales budgeting for the future can be based on those patterns. The making of the marketing plan can also be based on sales tracking. Furthermore, it helps with finding out what works and what does not in the marketing department and seeing how successful certain campaigns are (Tinderbox 2012). Which products have the most sales in which retailers, which sizes are the most frequently bought or what kind of products do the consumers like the most. Additionally, the customer satisfaction can be checked as well. If the Market share of a certain company is decreasing, there can be a change in which products customers are choosing (Oakes, S. n.d.). While the Mars HR team handled this pretty well in a lot of people’s opinion (King, N.
