Immigrants in Australia have been despised upon in our recent years due to Australian patriotism, racism and fear of terrorism. Racism is a hefty dispute in Australia and that is really oppressing, not only is 40% of Australians are racist, which is 9.6 out of 24 million people, but we also have a political party in the government that is produced out of pure racism, or the 9.6 million would say Patriotism. Now Pauline Hanson is known for saying extremely racist things publicly, she’s the Australian version of Donald …show more content…
Trump. Pauline is very ‘patriotic’ about Australia but won’t recognise the Traditional Owners of the land, Pauline quotes “I do not believe that the colour of one’s skin determines whether you are disadvantaged.” And that is a pretty moronic thing to say due to every single piece of history on the planet. Immigrants bring so much to the table, such as food, new skills and perspectives, I honestly do not see what the problem is.
Australia is a Multicultural country, we are known for our ethnic diversity.
People often say Immigrants coming to Australia means less jobs for Australians, but it’s actually the opposite, more people, therefore more housing - schooling - hospital care etc…which equals more jobs. Also by the way, not every Immigrant is Asian or Muslim or Indian, most of the immigrants in Australia are actually from England and other places such as America, Canada and New Zealand.
My third and final point on my speech topic about Immigration Australia. People coming from different countries and trying to adapt to a new environment would be really hard to do, I mean you’re moving from a place your’e so familiar with into a place that you know nothing about, this place might even speak a different language that you don't understand.
If you don’t understand what I am trying to say by the end of this speech, I believe Immigrants should be welcomed into this country, even if there is the possible terrorism threat, if we have the opportunity to save 400 people from a war zone or flooding boat I would hope Australia would welcome them with open
arms.
