Stereotypes Of Women
There are a lot of stereotypes in the world. Especially with women. They are part of our everyday lives. We hear them every day and everywhere. Sometimes we can find ourselves in a situation where we make stereotypes for a large group of people either young or old who are labeled with positive or negative stereotypes. Stereotyping is a way people group each other saying things that are not normally true. Each individual or group is called a name that doesn't fit to everyone in that specific group. It affects their social life because people portray them that way everywhere they go. It’s something that offends the targeted person. Men are always getting paid more than women for doing the same job. It’s worse for a woman of color. According to The American Association of University Women (AAUW) “Asian American women’s salaries show the smallest gender pay gap, at 90 percent of white men’s earnings. Hispanic women’s salaries show the largest gap, at 54 percent of white men’s earnings.” It isn’t fair for the women that are working just as hard as men to get paid less just for their gender or their race. Women work just as hard as men maybe even more. They should be treated equally. They earn more college degrees than men. But then again they still earn less than men. Education does not close the gender pay gap. No matter what the occupation is men are dominating the workforce. It isn’t …show more content…
This world would be a better place if people were treated equally. No matter what you are or where you come from, it would only be fair. People deserve all the respect. How would this world be without stereotyping genders? It would be a better place to live on. People would have more opportunities, no matter what their genders are. Women would actually strive for more knowing that they get treated just as equally as men. Nobody would feel like the outcast for being themselves. I think men and women would have a better connection if they were treated the same because they can relate what they do as a living without being any different. Women can actually prove men wrong by doing all the things that men usually do, with no problem. Just because a man usually does a specific thing doesn’t mean a woman can’t do it. They can do it, and if they do they might even do it better. Don’t let appearances deceive

    First, the pay that women receive is still unequal to that of their male counterparts. On average, white women are paid 78 cents to the white man’s dollar, and it is worse for women of color; for instance, to the white man’s dollar, black women are only paid 64 cents, Hispanic women are paid 54 cents, and Native American women are paid 59 cents. This is ridiculous, without a doubt. Gender and race should not have anything to do with it. Furthermore, besides the wage gap, many women in work are needlessly sexualized.
