It angers me that people think this is okay, and puzzles me that it continues. If it were men in our shoes, like suggested in the article “Stop Asking Me To Ignore Street Harassment” by an anonymous author, if men were forced to look away, forced to dress and act a certain way in order to feel invisible, would views change? No, I do not think that every person who has assaulted a woman needs to be locked up for what they’ve done, but I do think there has to be something done about it. I don’t think women should be afraid to leave their houses; be afraid to wear a short dress or a low cut shirt because some man will oggle them distastefully. People need to learn that not every woman is flattered by wolf-whistles and hooting. The world needs to change, and I believe the power of educating and informing may be the change that is
