I also learn what religion is. Religion is group of people that believes in the same thing. The purpose of religion is to understand the unknown and to control over yourself. Religion give a person a purpose in life and something to follow. Even if the thing that they are follow are wrong or not. In Christianity they look down gay and makes them feel that they are wrong, but they people that are gay continue to go. The same thing can be said for girls. The bible looks down on girls sometime, not giving them the same rights as a guy, however women are the leading number of the genders that are going to church and following the religion.

on religion has change. As I go to church. I start to question what the pastor is saying and I start asking more question until I found out an answer. In the class we watch a video of a guy’s explain if God is real or not. He talks about how thing that are unknown or that are given the name a miracle are the works of God. However they are just thing that are yet to be discover. He explain that there were things in the past that were thought to be impossible to do, are possible now. Those thing used to be called miracle but not anymore because it is explain by science. Thing that are unknown are call miracle, but it also can be something that can yet be discover
The essay that I found to be the most influential was “Stranger in a strange land” by William Sims Bainbridge.
I found this to be more powerful because I can relate to it more. Bainbridge come from a religious family and everyone wanted him to follow into their foot step. However her did not and made his own. Bainbridge did not believe in God and start to question the religion at a very young age. He saw what happen when a person does not follow a religion and how they are treated because it happen to him. He lost some friends because he did not believe. However h open his eyes more and started to question more thing, like why in some school that have to praise God in the morning, or why should I praise something I cannot see. I found him more powerful because he tell a great detail on his family and how he was raise and the challenges that he had face in the his
life.
I love chapter seven in the textbook because it talk about gender and how males and females are treated different from every religion and it tell why. It also shows us table and evidences that support their claim. I found them interesting to read and I found myself questioning religion more each day.
The theory I like more is the conflict theory because I can feel emotions in it. When using the confit theory a person can say one thing that can make a strong rebuttal. In the theory of genders they usually always uses conflict theory.
The gender topic and the organization topic. I like the gender because I like to see fairness in in gender, but I do not see it. I also like the organization because I learn something new. Not all cults are bad. That all cult are the beginning of a religion which include Christianity and more.
