SRS is an interactive response system of wireless mobile technology that makes use of digital tools/ handheld devices that enable students to participate in class activities and answer questions posed by instructors anonymously (Stoddard & Piquette, 2010). SRS is generically a polling device that provides instructors the ability to immediately collect/gather student responses to course related multiple-choice/open-ended questions as well as summarize and visually present responses (Chui, Martin, & Pike, 2013). But, there are two major types of SRS systems (the traditional clicker and SRS using mobile web-based devices) (Kirley, 2017). Both systems comprise of three main components: an answer keypad with a signal emitter, a signal receiver, and a processing unit.
