Executive summary
Purpose of the proposal
This proposal will lead you through various issues, reasons behind them and some recommendations.
In this proposal I conducted interviews and used Subway website and some other online sources. Primary research consisted of interview with Olga Paras (team leader at Subway), Kuljeet Kaur (employee at Subway) and Nav Dhillon (a regular Subway customer). Some of my personal experiences, my own views, and some researches and findings revealed:
Working staff is usually under trained.
High turnover among employees due to lesser chances of promotions.
Customers have complaints regarding their orders. They complain about long waiting time.
Sometimes the items displayed in the menu are not available in the restaurant.
Employees get irritated by the working environment and also by their colleagues.

Management should consider training as a serious issue and train the new comers in best possible way, so that they feel comfortable working in …show more content…
Each Subway restaurant is operated by a franchisee, an affiliate, or the corporation itself. Subway provides fresh and healthy food to its customers. One restaurant has around 22 people’s sitting arrangement. Subway makes sales of $18.8 billion in one year. The main headquarters of subway is in Milford, Connecticut, U.S. Subway have maintained its position in social community with 27 million fans on facebook (Ralph Lauren, 2014).
A Brief History
Subway was founded by Fred Deluca and his partner Dr. Peter Buck in 1965. Fred Deluca had a dream to be a doctor before 1965, but he had no money for his tuition fees. One of his friends gave him an idea to open submarine sandwich shop to make money. He began his journey for submarine sandwich shop with $1,000, which he took as a loan. Then he offered partnership to Dr. Peter Buck.
The first store was opened in Bridgeport, U.S. It became franchise business in 1974, when they realized that it is difficult to open and maintain 32 stores on one time. Their initial idea of opening subway was to provide healthy and low cost food, providing excellent customer service, finding great locations to open new stores and keeping operational costs low.
