Summary Of Anthropologist And Other Friends
Anthropology is the study of humankind. It covers a broad range of topics. An anthropologist can study society, culture, biology, and archaeology. In the article “Anthropologists and Other Friends”, by Vine Deloria, the author explores anthropology and its effect on people. In the article, Deloria focuses on the movement of anthropologists towards Indian Reservations during the summer. While there, the anthropologists conduct research, make observations, and compare their findings to previous studies. In the article, Deloria discusses how anthropologists negatively influences the Indians. Deloria also mentions how the anthropologists never assisted the Indians and how the Indians are only subjects to be studied.
