In Williams Zinsser’s article “College Pressures” he argues that college causes a lot of pressure on students in the 1970’s. He explains that there is so much expected from students that they just get so overwhelmed. Zinsser explains how there are different types of pressure put on students. Whether it’s economic pressure, parental pressure, peer pressure, and self- induced pressure. Even when they have other things to do outside of school they still have to worry about their school work. He is a teacher and learned from his students what it’s like to have lots of pressure put on you.
