Treatment in the ghetto was terrible. (USHMM) described a scene where an officer killed a child by throwing them against the wall . During this story he focused on the mother.
Children had little to do within the ghettos. Depending on the age they might have been to work, but many sat at home all day. As Charlene Schiff described it their life revolved around food.
