His opposition resulted from an article that was published on social media that said there was a conspiracy that the CDC was covering up that researchers found a correlation between the MMR vaccine and Autism. The article was so believable that even though several countries did studies to test this theory to be false. The rates of children being vaccinated began to fall, there was a movement by what is called anti- vaxxers that continue to spread this misinformation. Many of these anti-vaxxers are everyday loving parents that want the best for their children but because of their lack of trust and belief in the establishment it is easier for them to believe in an undocumented article they read on social media. Hollywood’s elite have also suddenly become experts on the subject and feel it is there duty to educate the American people.
