Although, I did not have the same experience as Marguerite, I understand that having someone there next to you and comforting you can create a huge impact. For example, Marguerite had said, “All I cared about was that she had made tea cookies for me and read to me from her favorite book. It was enough to prove that she like me.” From this, I can tell that Marguerite had wanted to be loved by someone and I believe that, that is a trait that all humans have. I agree with the text because growing up is not easy and there will always, and should always, be a person that one can consult with or be comforted by. “She had the grace of control to appear warm in the coldest weather, and on the Arkansas summer days it seemed she had a private breeze which swirled around, cooling her.” The story forms imagery in my head and there is a meaning that any reader can learn from. “Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with the shades of deeper meaning.” I agree with this quote since words will not mean anything unless there is voice. I would like to recommend this story to young adults who are on the verge of adulthood and even children, so they can start understanding more about what it is like to grow
