In Milan Kundera’s excerpt from “Testaments Betrayed,” he argues there is a clear, concise line between the public and private life and that this imaginary line must remain in place. Of course there are downfalls to the line remaining. However, are outweighed by remembering everyone has slipups or mistakes and wants personal confidential information to be protected to avoid consequences or embarrassment.
Removing this line of privacy can help improve people’s openness with their lives and better the moral character of themselves. Since everyone will know anything mentioned will be spread or made known to the person of conversation, people will be more conscious of what is said to and about each other through messaging and verbally.
