The first habit involves the judgement reflex, which explains the natural instinct to make opinions based on first impressions which limits the person from understanding the whole story. This can lead to weak and often incomplete analysis as they often neglect the other opinions than their own. A solution the author presents is to avoid this type of instinctive conclusion by understanding both sides of the story and eliminating certain abstract adjectives and phrases. The second habit involves generalization, which a person describes the material in a vague description way which avoids specifically describing certain aspects about it.
