The Drama Down Under Campaign aims at raising awarness about gay mens sexual health and to help encourage regular sexual health checkups. The campaign is aimed at homosexual or bi-sexual men who may be at risk of STI’s and who hav not been tested for sexual health within the last 12 months.
The main strategy used to promote this campaign is by the use of its website http://www.thedramadownunder.info but also uses aditional products to promote awarness.
The website provides information on various types of STI’s and treatment plans available. The site also has a service which includes sending a free text message reminder every 3,6 or 12 months (your choice) to remind you to get a sexual health exam. The Drama Down
Under website also can provide a free anonymous ecard, to inform partners. You also have a chance to have your own say to inform people of your own expierences.
There are six different postcards available, each focus on a different area of sexual health and testing. They all refer back to the website.
There are also various A2 posters that are displayed at sexual venues, clinics and some community centres. They alsp have a number of press advertisements.
Fridge magnets and bookmarks are also available that have the website printed on them and space to write testing dates as reminders.
Some condom packets have information displaying the main campaign message and the website.
