For example, the author had written how she views her love toward her mother as abusing her by demanding service from her. Rather than seeing her as mother role, she viewed her mother as a piece of abuse, thus that she was not allowed to love the servants because they are without identification. However, if you do not see your mother in role of serving, you can see the point of love because your mother is not busy cleaning up the mess that you made. Viewing them as a servant helps the children to be independent from their mother and the servants because they do not depend on the love.
