They love the job of training killer whales and interacting with them. However, OSHA should still have some rules to be followed, but not as strict as other locations. This probably sounds wrong, but that is how they choose to make their living and why should we stop them if they are willing to do it. “John Hargrove, who spent 14 years as an orca trainer, mostly at SeaWorld, says there was no doubt that the whale was aggressive. And the reason for whales' aggression, he says, is that they're held captive. Hargrove eventually became disillusioned with SeaWorld's treatment of orcas and left the company” (Fresh Air, 2015). This is why accidents occur at Seaworld and other animal training locations. My opinion, all this is wrong and animals deserve better treatment and let free as God intended them to be. Not captive and taken from their parents and groups. It is sad and wrong to make a profit off this behavior.
Regarding professional sports, OSHA should have rules and regulations for all sports. However, when it comes to professional sports these men and women chose to participate in the game so why should they sue over an injury? When bargaining there has to be time given to work things out. There can not just be a time when the people who are involved say we are tired so we give up or we can not make a solid decision. It does not work this way.
Both sides have the right to talk, agree, and discuss then let the other side have the same respect. “Labor unions have a long history in the United States and across the globe. While many do not see the benefits of labor unions, for the union worker the benefits include higher wages, better benefits and safer working conditions” (Hamlett, 2018).
