Jason is the son of Jupiter also known as Zeus. The rest of the story is basically Jason, and his friends going on a quest to fulfil the prophecy. The three heros go on a quest to rescue the goddess Hera, who has been captured by Hera’s giant. Leo is the son of Hephaestus, Piper is claimed by Aphrodite, and Leo is the son of Zeus. The two join Leo on his quest. The book in general was very entertaining to read, and kept me engaged. The characters were constantly fighter monsters, and there were many actions scenes. It was hard for me to put down the book once I picked it up. The idea behind the whole entire book was very good and the author's imagination is beyond believable. The author also sets up the setting extremely well and there is no dull moment. It is always full of action, conversations between characters are extremely interesting. I

This story was very odd but was a good book. The fiction of this story is tied to reality in a very unique way, that is very effective in making the story not feel very fantasy. This feature made the book truly more enjoyable. Other writing techniques like not having any foreshadowing. The book keeps you guessing until the very end. I felt like the book jumped around a lot because each chapter was a different event that happened throughout the year. I didn’t know when the events occurred so at times it was confusing. It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

In my honest opinion I did not like this book and I do not recommend it. The story itself is magnificent but the fact that it is 100% based off of the movie makes it pointless to read. They could have thrown in more deadly obstacles to face and made it worth reading. Overall it had more weaknesses than strengths. Strengths I can give is that if you haven’t seen the movie, then the book could definitely give you exactly what you’ve missed out on. It is a great story and is more than your average adventure tale. Reading it really does make you feel like you were a kid again, running around and being creative.…

After some days of running away from 2 Gorgons in the beginning of the book Percy is with no memory except his girlfriend Annabeth and the fact that he can’t kill the 2 Gorgons. He stumbles upon a Roman camp called Camp Jupiter. Percy who’s still followed by the Gorgons uses his powers as the son of Neptune (the god of water and earthquakes) to destroy the Gorgons (temporarily) and save the guard Frank. He meets there Reyna, the daughter of Bellona the female god of war and one of the two camp leaders, Hazel, the daughter of Pluto (the god of the underworld), Frank, an unclaimed demigod, and Nico di Angelo, son of Pluto. Percy, Hazel, and Frank find out that the reason the monsters won’t die is that Thanatos the god of death (not the underworld) is imprisoned. So the camp elects of course Percy, Hazel, and Frank to go to free Thanatos. The catch is that the camp is at San Francisco and Thanatos is in Alaska, and to make harder they have to make it back before the Feast of FORTUNA which is in 4days! On the journey you’ll see the secrets of the three characters are revealed to one another as they go to free Thanatos. With so many obstacles will the trio succeed? Read The Son of Neptune to find out. This book comes from a series called Percy Jackson and the Olympians and its part of the series The Heroes of Olympus. I recommend that you read the 5 books about Percy and the book The Lost Hero.…

Vanity Fair, or also now for it’s subtitle “The Novel without a Hero”, is a satire to society, characterized by hypocrisy and opportunism. The novel follows the lives of two very different women, Becky Sharp and Amelia Sedley. Vanity fair refers to a stop along the pilgrim's progress: a never-ending fair held in a town called Vanity, which is meant to represent man's sinful attachment to worldly things. Definitely, a quote that I think explains and drives much of the action and is one of the major points of the novel is: "Vanitas Vanitatium!…
