I felt that "The Moose and the Sparrow" written by Hugh Garner was reflecting the relating events that have happened during my time at Tlicho Construction. However, it wasn't as nearly as bad as what Cecil had been through. During my time at Tlicho Construction was the new guy on the construction site and what I had to do was either clear the area from debris or trash. The cleaning part wasn't fun at all nor it didn't seem necessary at the time. The summer was boiling hot and the bugs around the time wasn't making this part of the job any easier. My cousin and I would be working for at least six hours per day for the next four weeks, outside the temperature felt like twenty-seven plus Celsius. We both got the most terrible job at the construction site, since we had to stand outside picking up garbage from every little spot. Knowing that his job was much tougher since it required the ability for leadership and being a hard arse to everyone in order for the job to be completed on time. Which my younger self didn't understand why he was acting in such a matter. My father once a while will be easy on us, but since he had other things to do, we were left in the hands of the crew members. Running useless errands and doing their jobs such as painting. We had to be watched once a while if we have done the work correctly if not we were just putting ourselves in the hole. After the job was nearly done and the summer almost ending, the crew was getting to know us much better and we had a discussion on what we wanted to be.
