In this video, I name Rhllor as one of the old gods, by Rhllorian intervene that brought back Catelyn Stark as Lady Stoneheart. It is similar to the Rat Cook, a tale known throughout Westeros about the repercussions to those who violate the sacred laws of hospitality. Let us begin with the story of the Rat Cook, told by Bran at the Nightfort. The eeriness of the castle reminded him of the stories old Nan used to tell. (pic 72 sentments… night’s king, rat cook, mad axe). It was. The rat cook story was told in between the Night’s King and Mad axe tales. It’s almost like an attempt to conceal information, in this case, in an info dump. (in other occasions it is hinted by a shock). In a repeated motif, GRRM parallels historical events and current events, subtly links the story of the rat cook and the Red Wedding, giving the audience a template of things yet to come. In my world, there is only one god, God. God is known as the creator of all things: the Alpha and Omega: the Beginning and the End, the Creator, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Bread of Life, and so forth. He is the only possible thing that exists that knows all things, sees all things, and can do all things. With God, choosing sides is not an issue; He is fair and just and considers all mortals his children. Unless it is necessary and not out favoritism or entertainment,…

All cultures at one point worshiped many gods. This is no surprise due to the fact that polytheism was a very common idea of religion in ancient civilizations. In China, during the Shang Dynasty, polytheism was the idea of religion in the culture. But in the Zhou dynasty, Taoism came along with different beliefs such as there was only one god who created the universe. After Taoism, Confucianism became very popular, although disagreed with Taoism. In Nubia, polytheism existed. Also, the polytheistic beliefs were heavily influences by Ancient Egypt. All religions are very specific with the details which set that religion apart from others. However, when all the little details are melted away, there are only a mere handful that are different in essence. When looked at closely, even the religions which are perceived completely dissimilar at first glance are surprisingly similar. For example, the Voodoo religion, and that of early Christianity are stereotyped as extremely different, but with closer inspection, not only are these two religions are very obviously similar, but Voodooism stemmed, partly, out of Christianity. Both religions revolve around a mortal individual being used as a mouthpiece by a higher, being, be it spirit or god, to communicate with our mortal world. Yet at the same time, each religion has taken it's own path and although equivalent in essence, have very different aspects with respect to background (such as time and status), as well as publicity, and language.…

Hinduism is often labeled as a religion of 330 million gods. This misunderstanding arises when people fail to grasp the symbolism of the Hindu pantheon. Hindus worship the nameless and formless Supreme Reality (Bramh) by various names and forms. These different aspects of one reality are symbolized by the many gods and goddesses of Hinduism. For example, Brahma (not to be confused with the over-arching Bramh) is that reality in its role as creator of the universe; in Vishnu it is seen as the preserver and the upholder of the universe; and Shiva is that same reality viewed as the principle of transcendence…

ALZA, a pharmaceutical company that has led the industry for over a decade, has been largely successful due to their unique technical innovation. Rather than specializing in discovering new drugs and treatments for medical conditions, ALZA instead focuses their pharmaceutical talents on developing new methods to deliver drugs to patients. From skin patches to time released capsules, ALZA captures their market by providing their technologies to all major pharmaceutical companies, in return charging royalties that has led the company to realize immense consecutive profits. However, drug delivery technologies are constantly evolving, which has caused more effective and efficient methods to appear at a rapid rate. While ALZA is a leader in its industry, it needs to invest in advancing their own technologies if it wants to enjoy its current state of profitability, growth, and leadership. To implement this effort of advancing its drug delivery technologies, Martin Gerstel, CEO of ALZA, approved a 40 million dollar proposal to aid in developing its technologies. Yet, the solution wasn't nearly as simple as they had hoped, the company still needed to develop a method of organizing and paying for the 40 million dollar project. The company came up with three options:…

When people see the world or aspects of the world and reality, it is usually perceived and taken as the truth. It might seem easier to believe that the world is as it appears but there is more to the world then what is seen through immediate experiences, details that are left out that ensure certainty. This is why within the essay I will be discussing why it is not justified to believe that the world is as it appears. I will bring up this contradiction between appearance and reality using the reading and finding of philosophers such as Descartes, Berkeley, Russell and Plato who have in their own way tried to come to an understanding as to what appearance and reality are and if the world is truly as it appears.…
