Why Segregation Is Wrong

Segregation, a topic known to all yet many choose to do nothing about it. This word is used in a incoherent way. It was and is used being used as separation of different racial groups. Segregation is wrong since we are all one together, culture or appearance does not make a difference. Segregation also creates violence and hatred, causes others to be inferior towards others, and an economical inequality. Violence and hatred are some of the effects of segregation. In source 2 article Showdown in Little Rock it states, “When 9 colored students tried to enter an all white school riots began… police desperately tried to keep the angry crowd under control.” Therefore when there is segregation in society the result in unjust treatment. The text of the 14th Amendment, section 1 says, “ No state shall make or enforce any laws which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of a citizens of the United States.” Accordingly to the 14th amendment states, any citizen of the U.S. should have any equal rights. Consequently all people who are born or who go through a naturalization process will become a citizen of the United States, with equal rights.
