While SRAs do occur within our society, more often than not these accusations have no merit. Individuals support these claims, to make legitimate reports of SRA harbor more merit. This is done by sensationalizing the cults and making the average Joe more susceptible to claims. Frankfurter (2006:31) stated, “…hostile spirits are afoot that seem to belong not to “our” landscape but to the periphery-some savage outside world”. Well balanced research doesn’t simply reflect the author’s views, but also shows another side. Yes, Frankfurter mentions the daycare accusations in the 1980s as evidence that not all those accused are in fact evil. However, he doesn’t explain what it means to be a Satanist or what defines a cult. He jumps feet first into a world that needs a strong foundation of explanation yet, doesn’t even attempt to do so.
