Summary Of Yes A College Education Is Worth The Costs By Rodney Smith
After having read the essay “Yes, a college education is worth the costs” by Rodney K. Smith, I think that the author is trying to bring awareness to how education is viewed today.
Based on what I read, the author’s point of view is that education is seen as a burden and an expense that is not worth undertaking. According to Smith, today’s generation is more focus on earning money that to work on getting an education. Supporting evidence is provided by the author in the form of data on unemployment and earnings. The author goes on to explain how he was personally affected by the choice his grandfather made in giving his father a chance for a college education.
