The major workplace legislation in Australia is the Australian Government who regulate the workplace legislation via Fair Work Act 2009 (Commonwealth). My work organisation operates under Federal jurisdiction, or where applicable, Queensland jurisdiction in line with the Fair Work Commission (FWC).
The FWC’s functions include the setting and varying of modern awards, minimum wage fixation, dispute resolution, the approval of enterprise agreements, and handling claims for unfair dismissal.

If changes are made to any of these policies and procedures, they are communicated directly to the managers to add to agenda items for team meetings.
