Aiii, Briefly outline why employment law exists.
Employment law exists to protect both the employer and the employee. A contract is made between both parties in order to set out each parties responsibilities to each other. This could include things such as discrimination, work hours including breaks, health and safety and salary. This is so that each party knows what is expected of them as employer/employee and is used as a guidline for a successful working partnership.
Task B, Your work role
Bi, describe the terms and conditions of your employment as set out in your contract of employment or employment agreement:
As a support worker I will be assessing the needs of prospective service users and ensuring they have a suitable support plan/needs. I will make sure that these are kept up to date and will resolve any issues that arise i.e benefits, whilst liaising with other concerned parties such as BAT, SDAS, CMHT etc. I will attend daily handover meetings as well as all internal and external training courses. All clients will be supported in their skills for independent living
